What You’ll Be Doing Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspect, service and maintain a diverse fleet of construction equipment including earth-moving, compact and aerial equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance, diagnose equipment malfunctions and make required repairs.
Test repaired equipment for proper performance.
Mentor apprentices and new hires as needed, providing guidance, training and support.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of inspections, maintenance and work orders.
Contribute to a professional and safe work environment by keeping the shop and yard clean, and following all company policies and procedures, and safety requirements.
What You’ll Bring to the Team Qualifications and Requirements:
Mechanical experience working on a variety of construction equipment.
Valid Class G driver’s license with clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than 3 demerit points). You will be required to provide a copy of your updated driver’s abstract upon request.
Must have own tools.
Available and willing to work over-time as needed.
Strong understanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools.
Expertise in diesel and gas engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
Highly adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Strong team-player with effective communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and colleagues.
Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as with a team.
Comfortable with computers (for filling out inspections, inventory management, etc.).
Physical stamina and ability to stand and bend for long periods of time. Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs.
